Within a catalog of Funerary Stelae from the Jawf Valley. Neal Rappleye found an unlikely occurrence of a small stone engraving dating to the 5th or 6th centuries BC bearing the name Yasma’ ‘il, an Arabic form of the name name Ishmael. This stella was found in the Jawf valley, near the NHM archeological site. It is possible this is the burial marker of the father in law of Nephi. who was buried in the place which was called Nahom (1 Nephi 16:34) Rappleye explain this discovery and its potential significance in relation to the Book of Mormon
