Dr. John Sorenson refutes and corrects statments made by Dr. Michael Coe during interviews with John Dehlin on the Mormon Stories Podcast. Although Dr. Coe is an expert Mesoamericanist, his approach to the Book of Mormon is very dismissive and somewhat dishonest. Dr. Sorenson is a peer of Dr. Coe and a faithful member of the church who has seen many parallels between the people of the Book of Mormon and the ancient people of Mesoamerica
